International students

The Springfield Anglican College welcomes international students into its community. 

Prior to entry to The Springfield Anglican College students study an intensive primary or secondary preparation course either through the Forest Lake International College, located in Forest Lake, or through the Union Institute of Language, located in the Springfield. Students studying at the Union Institute of Language and seeking to enrol at The Springfield Anglican College, must do so through the Forest Lake International College. 

With a population of around 1.5million Brisbane offers all the attractions and facilities of a vibrant international city. The city is clean and safe for travellers and caters for the needs and interests of all overseas visitors. 

Secondary Schooling at The Springfield Anglican College

Students who have studied English as a Second Language (ESL) in their home country, but wish to enter mainstream secondary school classes at The Springfield Anglican College, must complete a minimum  of one year of study of English or equivalent before acceptance.

A wide range of senior school programmes are offered to international students on entry into The Springfield Anglican College and students at the College may enter any university in all states in Australia and throughout the world. 

Short and long term study tours

The Springfield Anglican College welcomes study tour programmes. Study tours are planned to accommodate both the academic requirements of improving English language skills and learning about our city.  Special educational and recreational activities and excursions are also organised to offer students a wide range of Australian experiences and cultural experiences. Tours vary in length from one to twelve weeks. 

Homestay program

Accommodation with a local family allows easy access to the College is required for all international students. Our registered homestay families provide a supportive and caring environment for students as part of the family.  

Enrolment process

Admission to the College as an international student is dependent on passing an English Language test and an interview with the Head of College.
