Chaplaincy
From College Chaplain: Reverend Chris Boyce
I am so pleased to have joined TSAC staff as your new Chaplain.
My own faith caught fire under the ministry of my school chaplain in boarding school in Iringa, Tanzania. I received an early call into Anglican Ministry but needed some prior experience of life. I took up architecture which culminated in heading up my own firm in Eastbourne, Sussex.
I am married to Lynda, and we have two children. We have lived and worked in Nigeria and when I returned to UK I became ordained as a non-stipendiary priest in 1987. I moved to full time ministry in 1992 and my last post was pioneering a new Anglican Church in Oxfordshire. I join my family in Brisbane, and the family includes my parents (90 & 93) my married children and my four grandchildren.
The vision of the school is to support and equip every student – “Their Future” being the tagline. I hope to help flesh out this vision so that the future of staff and students (Their Future) has every opportunity to engage with God and be transformed in Christ. Relationships will be the key in sharing the vision and for it to be owned. Relationships will also be key in building loving community. For the students such a community would be a foundation to equip them to join a local church community. The school also has an ambition to see a Worship Centre building being available for the Springfield Township.
This is a great time to be part of this whole venture.

19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’
21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ Matthew 25:19 – 21
In Jesus’ story the one who received the most to invest and use for his master’s business makes the maximum return and is thoroughly congratulated. The ‘talents’ or bags of gold were each the equivalent of about 15 years salary. Even the third person given the meagre one talent was still receiving a significant amount to reinvest and create more from what he was given. However bereft of natural talents and gifts you may think you have, you can still make the most of what you have and live a life full of purpose and love. The easiest way to accomplish that is to live in connection with Jesus Christ.
With blessings
Chris Boyce
Enquiries about Baptism, Admission to Communion, Confirmation
In 2012, we hope to commence preparation for Baptism and Admission to Communion through our Chapel worship program for the Primary campus. Preparation for Confirmation will be offered to students in senior classes.
Families whose children were not baptised (Christened) as babies and who would like to find out more about having them baptised as part of the College worshipping community, are welcome to contact Reverend Chris Boyce at the College.
