The Springfield Anglican College - Redefining Co-Education
As a Prep to Year 12 Co-educational College we value the co- educational underpinning of the holistic approach to education adopted at the College. We take seriously our ambition to best position students for ‘Their Future’ and as a Prep to Year 12 College owned by the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane, Christian beliefs and values are central to our ethos. We welcome children of all families who accept this ethos, regardless of religious or ethnic origins.
The right choice of school can greatly influence the ability of young men and women to successfully and productively engage in their chosen career paths. In our view a TSAC education affords all students who attend the College a wonderful opportunity to grow, mature and develop the platform to launch into the next stage of their lives.
At the College, we are acutely aware that, in addition to their academic achievement, our College environment contributes to the development of our students’ social relationships, their creativity, physical development and their spiritual understanding. A range of innovative academic, cultural and sporting programmes are designed to help children discover and fulfill their potential.
Of great importance to successful student outcomes is a very supportive and encouraging learning environment. The College has no tolerance of actions that cut across society boundaries and prides itself on the quality of the staff employed at the College to work with our students to help them realise their potential.
As students move through the College curriculum flexibility is provided to students who may benefit from alternative curriculum structures, in particular students who have very active lives outside of the College.
The College started from small beginnings in 1998. Today we extend across two campuses and as a College in its twelfth year in operation, we are entering an exciting phase in its development with new facilities coming on line in 2010 such as the Resource Centre on the Primary Campus, a roof over the sports courts on the Middle and Senior School Campus and plans for a Technology Centre to be erected in 2011.
